That proximity matters on response time, on local code knowledge, and on the relationship. Capps has served Wilmette homes and businesses for thirty years and the phone number has not changed.
Common services in Wilmette
Older housing stock and an established tree canopy mean sewer rodding, sewer camera inspection, and overhead sewer conversion are among the most common calls. Water heater service and flood control are also frequent given the age of the area’s plumbing systems.
- Sewer rodding
Gets the line flowing again and shows you why it stopped, so the same backup does not come back next month.
- Sewer camera inspection
See the condition of the line before you spend on the repair.
- Overhead sewer conversion
Raises the sewer above the city main so it cannot back up
- Flood control systems
Keep the street out of your basement during heavy rain.
- Water heater installation
Tank and tankless, sized and vented to code.
- Hydrojetting
High pressure cleaning for grease and scale
- Lead service line replacement
Replaces the lead water service to the house
- Trenchless sewer replacement
Replace the run with minimal disruption to the yard.

My hot water started leaking unexpectedly. I called Capps because they replaced my last one 16 years ago and I was very happy with it all those years. They had an appointment same day and Tim Murray arrived within two hours of my phone call! Tim was very knowledgeable and nice and he explained the product and pricing thoroughly. He installed the heater in a short period of time and everything was great!
Debbie D. · via Google Extremely friendly staff. They were able to come out the next day and resolve my drainage issues. I appreciated the personal communication beginning with scheduling the appointment through the completion of the project.
Dan G. · via Google My tech Casey was terrific, gave me options for everything and helped me pick out the right units for my needs. He inspected my sump pumps and water heater and put in a new pump on the same visit.
