Common services in Palatine
Older housing stock and an established tree canopy mean sewer rodding, sewer camera inspection, and overhead sewer conversion are among the most common calls. Water heater service and flood control are also frequent given the age of the area’s plumbing systems.
- Sewer rodding
Gets the line flowing again and shows you why it stopped, so the same backup does not come back next month.
- Sewer camera inspection
See the condition of the line before you spend on the repair.
- Overhead sewer conversion
Raises the sewer above the city main so it cannot back up
- Flood control systems
Keep the street out of your basement during heavy rain.
- Water heater installation
Tank and tankless, sized and vented to code.
- Hydrojetting
High pressure cleaning for grease and scale
- Lead service line replacement
Replaces the lead water service to the house
- Trenchless sewer replacement
Replace the run with minimal disruption to the yard.

Palatine’s Lead and Galvanized Steel Water Service Line Replacement Cost Sharing Program reimburses homeowners 100% of the cost of replacing the line from the water main to the shutoff valve and 75% from the valve to the meter, up to $11,000 plus permit fees. Pre-approval from Public Works is required before work starts. Capps replaces the line and handles the paperwork.

The plumber they sent out, Casey, did a fantastic job. Very knowledgeable, efficient, and cordial. Definitely knew his business and left the job as clean as he found it and explained everything to us. Casey is absolutely an asset to Capps. We have used Capps many times before and once again continue to be happy repeat customers. Thank you Capps...
