A team that backs each other up
The team at Capps is made up of people who have been here for years. That is not an accident. When the equipment works, the schedule is manageable, and the people around you know what they are doing, the job is better. That is what we try to maintain.
We have been doing this for thirty years, and this is a shop led by plumbers from top to bottom. The people making the decisions have carried the tools and run the calls themselves, and they still answer to the work.
- A supportive environment where teamwork drives results.
- A family-owned company where decisions get made by people on the ground.
- Hands-on experience and ongoing training for technicians who want to grow.

Plumbing is a trade worth learning
If you are good with your hands and willing to learn, a plumbing apprenticeship is a real path to a licensed trade with real earning potential, and Capps will sponsor you through it.
We pay for your training all the way through to your license: the apprenticeship sponsorship, the approved coursework and the time it takes. You work alongside licensed plumbers on real jobs from day one, and you are paid while you learn.
The Illinois plumbing apprenticeship takes 48 months of on-the-job training under the Illinois Department of Public Health plus the approved coursework before you sit for the license exam. We have walked people through that process for thirty years, and we would like to walk you through it too.
- No plumbing experience required to apply as an apprentice.
- You earn while you learn from day one.
- Capps supports your path to licensure.
- Not ready to apply yet? Call us and ask about the apprentice program. We are happy to answer questions before you commit to anything.
